유마경 강설 29 /불국품 27 /8, 보적의 게송
4 /인연인 까닭에 모든 법이 생기며
說法不有亦不無나
以因緣故諸法生하며
無我無造無受者나
善惡之業亦不亡이라
설법은 있지도 않고 또한 없지도 않으나
인연인 까닭에 모든 법이 생기며
나도 없고 지음도 없고 받는 자도 없으나
선과 악의 업은 또한 없지 않도다.
강설 ; ≪금강경≫에 무득무설분(無得無說分)이 있다.
나는 쉽게 설명하기를,
“부처님의 재산은 두 가지인데 진리를 깨달은 것과 그 진리를 설한 것이다.”
그러나 ≪금강경≫에는
그 “깨달음을 얻음도 없고 그 깨달음을 설한 것도 없다.”고 하였다.
한 차원 달리 생각해 보면 이해할 수 있는 내용이다.
보적의 게송에도 부처님의 설법은
있는 것도 아니며 없는 것도 아니라고 하였다.
왜냐하면 인연으로 인하여 종종의 법이 생기고
인연으로 인하여 종종의 법이 소멸하기 때문이다.
“나도 없고 지음도 없고 받는 자도 없으나
선과 악의 업은 또한 없지 않도다.”라고 하였는데
불교를 잘 못 이해하여
모든 것이 공무(空無)한 것으로만 오해할까 염려하여
“선과 악의 업은 또한 없지 않도다.”라고 강조하였다.
유형한 것이나 무형한 것이나 모두가 있음과 없음의
양면성을 함께 가지고 있다는
중도성을 잊어서는 안 된다는 의미이다.
